My DD called me on Monday while I was in Joann fabrics returning some fabric....that's right returning some fabric। LOL She needed a dress for a funeral on Wednesday! I haven't made my daughter any clothing since the senior prom, she's now 26. I admit I was a little excited about making her something. After texting her a few pattern pics, we decided on Simplicity 2938. It was a very, very simple dress to make. I used a poly silky from Joann's that was in my stash. I cut the size 18W for the bust and the 24W for the rest of the pattern. It fit her great. I ended up taking it in 1/4 inch in the front and back seam to give it some definition. She opted not to wear a belt. She was very pleased. The neckline was very flattering.

Tee, what a nice dress. And it's always nice to sew for an appreciative audience! Would you do me a favor, please? Look at my blog and leave me a comment on the back of top I'm working on. Thanks so much!!
