Mr. President

I have been sooooo busy. I've spent the last 3 weekends in hotels or someone else's house. The last weekend in April I attended an ASG Conf in Poughkeepsie, NY; the first weekend in May, my church sponsored a Catholic Daughter Convention; and Mother's day weekend I attended my "baby" sister's graduation in Winston Salem, NC! I had a wonderful time, but it really cut into my prom sewing time! However, I am almost finished. I've been sewing until 11 pm for 2 weeks to make up for it! The last dress should leave my house tomorrow evening! So far everyone has been pleased with their gowns! I promise to post pics on Friday when I finally get a breather. I'm off that day and plan to sleep in and go somewhere and have a really nice brunch. I'm not telling anyone that I'm off! Saturday is my trip to NYC! I can't wait! Like a really need more fabric---I want to check out some of the museums, there are some really great exhibits---hopefully inspiring!

I work for the FBI in DC. I had the most memorable moment in my life when President Obama came to commend us. It was awesome! I really respect him and believe he was the "change" that this nation needed. Yes, that's me (with the locs)--I can't believe I was that close to him! He shook my hand! I trembled! LOL
Take care everyone.

Yes, you have been busy. I caught a break from graduation season this year. My oldest nephew graduated from college last year, but 2 nephews--one is the brother of the above are graduating next year! I live in PG, so your commute must be a bear. Most recently had been commuting to Glen Burnie for about 3 weeks.

When you get a breather, let us know how the ASG conference was. Did you get any pics from it? I'm considering joining one here--just need to decide what chapter.

I find President Obama very charismatic on TV! I can only guess what's it was like to actually shake his hand. Given time, I feel he will bring about the change he talked about.
