1st prom of the season

This lovely lady is Jasmynn!  She was featured on my blog last year when I made her turquoise blue corsage and bow tie for her date!  Well Ms. Jasmynn is graduating from high school this year and she choose me to create her perfect prom dress!  Isn't she beautiful! For the halter top I underlined the sequined stretch lace with a stretch satin and lined it with a light weight ponte knit.  It's feels like you're wearing a fancy top with a  t-shirt inside.  The skirt is a silver gray satin taffeta with a sparkle netting overlay.

not sure where I purchased this fabric, got it from my lovely stash.

the bow tie - made from skirt fabric scraps/with gross grain ribbon and velcro.  I don't put a lot of work in the prom bow tie...the guy will never wear it again.  LOL

The date, isn't he cute in his bow tie.....guys don't where tux anymore????

Jasmynn and her mom, Nikita!

On her way in her slick ride!
This is the inspiration for her outfit.
My clients never cease to amaze me with the pics they bring at prom time.....I'll post gown #2 soon.  Her prom is tomorrow.
