IMA Safe Motherhood Kit™ (SMK). The layette includes a knitted or crocheted baby cap, a receiving blanket, and a tunic or onesie. Not only does the layette help to keep the newborn warm in those first critical hours, it also serves as an incentive for women to come to the clinic for care instead of giving birth at home – where complications could easily occur!
