Draping a skirt

This past Saturday, I, along with fellow members of our ASG Neighborhood Group, Baltimore Threads, had the pleasure of attending a skirt draping class with Sally DiMarco, Director of the Fashion Pogram at Stevenson University, Maryland. Her beautiful assistant, Farrah, was there to make sure we had a great time!

This is Sally's book, it's available on Amazon.http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/1563677369/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all

Armed with a dress form, pencil, pins, bias tape, 1/4 inch gingham, and rulers we were walked through the meticulous steps of the skirt draping process.  Her wonderful assistant, Farrah, was amazing.  She was so eager to make sure we had what we needed and jumped right in to Len a hand with her expertise!  We also learned about darts and ease.

The pictures were taken by our mutual friend, Erica Yuille!  She did an excellent job capturing the images, they literally jump right off the page!   The written instructions are also very clear!  I look forward to learning the art of draping!   This book is excellent!

If you want to learn to drape on your own, I recommend this book!!!!
