MD ASG Annual Meeting

American Sewing Guild, Maryland Chapter

Saturday, October 24 we had our Annual Meeting.  There were about 70 ladies in attendance.  Elections were held and I was elected President!  Hey this has really been my year.  I got to meet President Obama and now I'm the president of our ASG Chapter!

We had about 20 ladies participate in the fashion show.  We have such creative ladies in our Guild.  Garment makers and quilters all showed off their creations.  Check out our table decorations!

We enjoyed a scrumptious lunch of Chicken Marsala, Stuffed shells, vegetable medley, string beans, salad and a delicious sheet cake for dessert.

Every year at our Annual Meeting members donate unwanted sewing items (fabric, patterns, books, etc.) Look what I found on the stash table!

I've never sewn vintage before.  I was surprised that the pattern pieces were unprinted.  I can see myself in one of these beautiful dresses at the Captains Dinner on my next cruise.

Big congratulations on the election!

The vintage patterns you got are "to die for". I'll be anxiously awaiting to see one or two of these on your blog when you make them.

In this month's Vogue Pattern Magazine they are asking for submissions of vintage patterns. You should check it out because it looks like you just scored some of the patterns they are looking for!!!

Congrats on being elected President of your chapter...what a great honor!

That looks like a wonderful meeting, and congratulations on your election! I love the 3rd to last (simplicity) pattern, and the last Vogue pattern best among all of those. They will make wonderful cruise dresses. You had a terrific day indeed!
