More sewing room sewing

I've been wanting to make matching thread catchers and covers for my new machine...here's what I did:
Here's my newest sewing machine.  I really love the way it sews.  Quite as a mouse, but she's a real workhorse!    Notice the hole in the right side of the sewing table, my DH drilled it so that I could use my knee lift!!!!!    So grateful for him, once you use a knee lift===well it's like a microwave!  LOL

Here's the tutorial for the thread catcher

The thread catcher turned out so nice I decided to make one for my serger.  I just modified the pattern to accommodate my serger.

While I was at it, I decided to make her a new sewing machine dust cover with pockets!  I made this freehand and added batting to give it a little depth.

Until next time, thanks for dropping in!

Those knee lifts are the best! My mom's old Bernina had one. That's what I grew up sewing on, and it has been hard to be without one since.

I love your thread catchers! I've been thinking of making myself something similar this year and I love the material you chose for yours especially!

What a great idea, love your fabric. I really need to make some for my machines.

The fabric is from Hancocks back when Project Runway first aired. It was called "Project Runway."
