I couldn't do it...

ok I know I said I would only purchase 3 pieces of fabric while in NY---but I just couldn't do it.  First of all Kashi of Metro Textiles came into the city and opened just for us...I had to patronize him.  He has such a marvelous selection too....what's a girl to do!

Well here are the gorgeous fabrics I snagged on my recent trip to the Garment District!!!
knit from Metro Textiles
sheer border print from Metro Textiles

Silky sheer from Metro Textiles - loos great on both sides....notice the difference (left/right)

silky dull stretch satin - luxurious!!!!!! from Metro Textiles

wheat stretch linen with gold metallic threads from Metro Textiles --- I'm thinking Jacket!

pink stretch lace from NY Elegant Fabrics

Eyelash leopard knit from Sposabella Lace.  This store had some of the most beautiful lace and wedding veils I've ever seen.

silky white sheer with geometric print somewhat like a border
white poly knit feels like a heavy ponte sweet!-  I see a top, skirt, leggings, & dress !!!!!

floral stretch cotton - GD sun dress

pink stretch lace

white tricot interfacing 60"!!!!!!

luxurious blood orange charmeuse - Mood

tie silks - Mood

silver/blue swimsuit - Mood

navy blue satin taffeta with metallic threads.  I think Metro Textiles????  I think this will look great as a vest and bow tie for DH for our upcoming cruise!
boning, seam binding & zippers - Panda Thread
Panda Thread was awesome, I don't think I've ever been in this store!  Every notion you could imagine!!!  22" invisible zippers 75 cents each!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Thread...I also purchase a thread designed specifically for sewing leather!  Can't wait to try it when I refashion my old black leather dress.  Here are some cute bags...I have a small paper one from Mood---can't find it at picture taking time.  LOL  The bag from B&Js is really nice.  I'll get a lot of use out of it!  Can't wait until next year's NY shopping excursion.  Well back to the prom dresses!  Pics coming real soon!

Going into the city and coming out with just 3 pieces of fabric would be torture. Glad you had a great time and picked up some really pretty pieces.

Understandable why you had to get more than 3 fabric. I love the pink lace, grey stretch satin and the yellowish silky sheer. Guess you are on to stash busting now. :-)

Nice selections! How could you resist? :-). Who can resist a .75 cent zipper? :-)
