Rainy day....great sewing day!!!!

My DH is doing better.....not 100%, but good enough that I was able to get some sewing done today!  p.s.  Thanks for all the prayers!!!

I made 2 pair of pj pants and a night gown for 3 of my grands....
McCalls 4646 - I used a cotton flannel from Joann's and white eyelet lace, both from my stash.  Sewed entirely on my Babylock Evolve...used the Juki for the hemming.

eyelet lace added to the hemline

elastic in the sleeve

Kwik Sew 3126 & 3944   I made these in a size 3T & XL
I serged the pj bottoms as well and hemmed them on the Juki.

I made this no-sew pillow and rectangular one for 2 of my grands.  Kadin loves cars!!!!  Both from remnant fleece from Joanns.
I cut this top out a couple of years ago!  I went to retreat last year, but didn't get made.  I decided to whip it up today.  It turned out great.....I didn't have enough fabric for the long sleeves though.  I purchased the fabric at Elliott Berman Textiles during one of shopping trips to the Garment District in NY.    They don't open on Saturdays, but opened especially for my bus trip!!! They have the most gorgeous knits!!!!!!  This Sandra Betzina pattern comes together nicely.  I love the cowl neckline.

Lastly, this is Miss Foxy...I knocked this box of patterns over and she decided it was a comfy spot for her to lay in!   Happy sewing everyone. Thanks for stopping by!!!!

RTW Fast - My first garment of 2014

My first garment of 2014.  McCalls 3814. These were supposed to be for my GD, but they were huge so I tried them on and loved them.  So cozy and perfect for the artic weather we've been experiencing here in Baltimore!

from my pattern stash, circa 2002
I used 2 yr old flannel from Joann's.  I added cuffs using a white knit remnant from a piece of knit I purchased from MetroTextiles in NYC.

The instructions were very easy and it came together nicely. I will make these again in a smaller size for my GD.  LOL
